India v/s Pakistan: A Despicable Saga

The bilateral connections between the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan are referred to as India-Pakistan relations. The two nations have a complicated and mainly antagonistic relationship that is founded on a slew of historical and political events, most notably the partition of British India in August 1947; the India-Pakistan border is one of the world's most militarised international borders.

Cricket, on the other hand, is one of the most popular sports in the last decades in South Asian Countries. Even though few other sports have paved their way to people's favorite list, cricket still shines bright in overall terms.

"India vs Pakistan match is like Final before Finals"

Inzamam-ul-Haq

It's not just a game but something which carries the integrity of one nation as well. This is watched all over the world like always. The game unites families and catches everyone's eyes on their televisions like olden times.

But, Why's the Hype?

Indo-Pakistan ties have had their personal disputes, be it the era of Kardar and Naydu or Babur or Virat. While both countries established full diplomatic relations soon after their formal independence, their relationship was quickly obscured by the mutual effects of partition as well as the emergence of conflicting land disputes over various princely states, the most significant of which was that of Jammu and Kashmir. Since 1947, India and Pakistan have fought four significant wars and one undeclared war, as well as numerous armed skirmishes and military standoffs; except for the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, which occurred concurrently with the Bangladesh Liberation War, the Kashmir conflict has served as the precursor for every war between the two states.

If nationalism is removed from the game, cricket fans on the other side of the border believe that the sport could merge the two historically antagonistic cricketing nations. They also have warm memories of cricket fans on both sides of the border being friendly and courteous to one another during India-Pak matches. Many people consider cricket as a common ground and a means of fostering amicable ties between long-standing foes, both on and off the field. They desire regular, effective cricket connections between the two nations since, in addition to the cricketing opportunities, it also affords them some opportunities for communication.
Then there come our Ultra Patriotric people who try to win over social media by flooding uncanny yet funny Memes by flaunting their wicked sense of Humor. Social Media trolls from both ends are a never-ending War. These Attention Grasping contents though lighten the moment.
Players on both teams frequently experience immense pressure to succeed and strong emotions toward failure. Extreme fan reactions to losses in significant games have been observed, with just a small amount of vandalism.  In addition, by allowing heads of state to exchange visits and cricket fans from one country to go to the other to witness the matches, India-Pakistan matches have provided possibilities for cricket diplomacy as a way to strengthen relations between the two nations. Today we begin the first match of Asia Cup 2022 and will be marking D-Day whether it's gonna be Mauka Mauka or No issue, Lelo Tissue.

So, what's your take on this game? Or War?
